Millie has been employed with Sunshine as a life enrichment specialist since we opened 5 years ago. We are very lucky to have her. She is loving, compassionate and kind and it defiantly shows in her work with the members. She takes time with each member to make them feel heard and special. Millie is also our beautician here at Sunshine,
Sunshine is proud to announce Sojourner Drye as Novembers employee of the month. Soso, as we call her, has been with Sunshine for a little over 2 years. She is always smiling and has a helpful spirit not only to members but to her colleagues as well. Soso is patient and truly cares for the members and their needs.
Newburgh members had a fantastic day at Trevor zoo! They had a picnic lunch and visited with all the furry and not so furry friends. On the ride to the zoo the members got to take in the beginning of fall and pointed out all the different colors they saw in the trees. It was a great day had by all!
Members had apple cider doughnuts and lunch. They had a great time on the hayride and apple picking. They also enjoyed checking out the animals, the pumpkin patch, fun, and games!
EverCare At Home, EverCare’s Certified Home Health Agency in the Hudson Valley, is hosting its 10th Annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day conference. The conference, “kNOw more; AGE LOUDLY Against Elder Abuse” will be held on Friday, June 15 at Mount Saint Mary College (MSMC).
Conference registration will begin at 9 a.m.,
On June 21st, 2018 Sunshine Adult Day Care in Peekskill NY will be welcoming the summer with a luau.
Our doors open at 9 am for a lite breakfast and coffee but the fun begins at 10 am.
At 10 am we will have some music played for us by a local guitarist. The Hula dancers performance will begin at 10:30 am,
